The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Mount Pleasant, SC, is dedicated to fostering a just and sustainable food system through hands-on education and community engagement. This transformative program empowers selected Fellows with the knowledge and skills to champion social, environmental, and economic justice within the food landscape. With no tuition fees, we prioritize accessibility, allowing our Fellows to immerse themselves in organic food system education. Participants engage in diverse activities, from cultivating crops on market-style farms to conducting educational sessions that promote innovative health practices. They also lead initiatives in community gardens, farmers markets, and food literacy within schools, ensuring increased access to nutritious food for all. Over a six-month, experiential residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, these aspiring leaders collaborate with local non-profit organizations to apply their training and create lasting impact. Applications are open until March each year for the program starting in May.
