The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in Mount Pleasant, SC, is committed to fostering healthy eating habits among low-income pregnant and postpartum women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission encompasses providing vital nutrition education, supplemental foods, and robust support for breastfeeding mothers, including referrals to essential health care services. In the wake of COVID-19, WIC remains dedicated to serving our community with modified services to ensure the safety of both clients and staff. While in-person visits are temporarily suspended, families can easily access support and information by reaching out to their local WIC clinic by phone. Together, we work towards a healthier future for mothers and children in our community.
