At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Myrtle Beach, SC, we are devoted to nurturing a new generation of leaders who advocate for a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers a comprehensive, tuition-free experience empowering Fellows through hands-on education in sustainable agriculture and community engagement. Participants engage in projects that include growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing health education initiatives, establishing community gardens, and increasing food access through local farmers markets and direct-to-consumer channels. Over the course of six months, Fellows will live and learn at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, followed by a Community Action Year where they will collaborate with regional nonprofits to put their training into practice. We invite passionate individuals to apply by March each year for an inspiring journey that will run from May to October, as together we work toward a healthier, more equitable food system.
