The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in North Augusta, SC, empowers individuals to become passionate advocates and educators in sustainable food systems. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this dynamic program promotes social, environmental, and economic justice through a comprehensive, hands-on education in organic farming and food systems. Our Fellows gain invaluable experience over six months at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, implementing health-focused educational sessions, and supporting community gardens. The Fellowship also encourages participants to mentor future Fellows, participate in local farmers markets, and enhance food accessibility in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. By eliminating tuition costs, we ensure that this transformative experience is accessible to all, creating a network of dedicated leaders committed to advancing food equity in their communities. Applications are due by March each year, with the program running from May to October.
