The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in Pageland, SC, provides essential nutrition education aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of families with limited financial resources. Sponsored by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture and Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, EFNEP offers interactive, hands-on programs that focus on diet quality, food resource management, food safety, and food security. Participants engage in a 10-session course where they learn to prepare nutritious meals quickly, develop meal planning skills, ensure food safety, and save money on groceries. Our programs cater to children, youth, adults, and families eligible for food assistance programs such as WIC, SNAP, and others, ensuring that everyone has access to the knowledge and skills needed for healthier living. Upon completion, participants receive a Certificate of Achievement, recognizing their commitment to better nutrition and physical activity.
