The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in Piedmont, SC, is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of families through practical, hands-on nutrition education. Supported by the USDA and Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, our program emphasizes essential topics including diet quality and physical activity, food resource management, food safety, and food security. We offer a comprehensive 10-session interactive curriculum tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant, which can be delivered in both group settings and one-on-one sessions. By completing our program, participants not only gain valuable skills in meal planning, cooking nutritious recipes, and maintaining food safety, but also receive a Certificate of Achievement. EFNEP is committed to serving a diverse audience, providing resources and education to children, youth, adults, and families with limited financial means who qualify for food assistance programs such as WIC, SNAP, AFDC, or Head Start.
