The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in Saluda, SC, is dedicated to empowering individuals and families with essential nutrition education that supports healthier lifestyles. Offered through the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture and Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, our program focuses on four key areas: enhancing diet quality and physical activity, effective food resource management, ensuring food safety, and promoting food security. We provide a comprehensive 10-session interactive curriculum tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant, available in both group and one-on-one formats. Throughout the program, adult learners gain valuable skills such as planning quick, nutritious meals, preparing healthy recipes, ensuring food safety practices, and managing their food budgets effectively. EFNEP proudly serves a diverse audience, including children, youth, and adults from families with limited financial resources who are eligible for food assistance programs like SNAP and WIC. Participants receive a Certificate of Achievement upon completion, reflecting their commitment to a healthier future.
