About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Taylors, SC is dedicated to nurturing future leaders committed to transforming our food systems into models of social, environmental, and economic justice. Through a no-cost educational program at the Allegheny Farm, Fellows engage in hands-on training that empowers them as educators and advocates within their communities. This six-month fellowship offers valuable experiences in organic food system education, including growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining community gardens, and integrating food and ecological literacy into educational activities. Additionally, Fellows support local farmers’ markets and develop innovative access strategies for healthy foods while collaborating with regional non-profit organizations during their Community Action Year. Together, we strive to create a sustainable food system that benefits everyone in our community.
