The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in West Columbia, SC, is dedicated to nurturing future leaders in sustainable food systems by providing comprehensive training and support in farming and food advocacy. Through an accessible, tuition-free program, selected Fellows engage in hands-on education focused on creating a just and equitable food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable. Over six months spent at the Allegheny Farm Campus, participants gain practical experience in organic farming, community gardening, and food literacy initiatives, while also collaborating with local non-profits to grow diversified crops, implement health-focused educational sessions, and develop channels to increase access to healthy foods. This enriching Fellowship empowers Fellows to become effective advocates, mentors, and educators, ensuring a lasting impact on their communities. Applications are accepted until March for the May to October experience.
