About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Woodruff, SC, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through a comprehensive, tuition-free program, we empower our Fellows with hands-on training and education in organic food systems and ecological practices. Our fellowship combines six months of immersive, experiential learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus with a Community Action Year, where Fellows implement their skills in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. Participants engage in diverse activities, from growing and distributing crops on a market-style farm to implementing health-focused educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and supporting local food access efforts. By fostering food and ecological literacy, our Fellows are equipped to be catalysts for positive change in their communities, leading initiatives that enhance food resilience and promote environmental stewardship. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October, inviting passionate individuals to join us in transforming food systems for the better.
