The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), based in York, SC, provides vital nutrition education tailored to diverse individuals and families facing financial challenges. Supported by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture and Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, our program focuses on essential areas including diet quality, physical activity, food resource management, food safety, and food security. Through our engaging 10-session curriculum, participants gain hands-on experience in meal planning, cooking nutritious recipes, and budgeting for healthy foods, all designed to empower families to make informed dietary choices. We serve participants from programs like WIC, SNAP, AFDC, and Head Start, ensuring our support is accessible to those who need it most.
