Basic Needs Assistance, part of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, is dedicated to providing vital support in McFarland, WI, for individuals facing poverty, unemployment, and underemployment. Our mission is to uplift the dignity of each person we serve by offering essential resources that make a difference in their lives. For eligible residents in Dane County, we provide emergency food assistance every 14 days, and medication support for prescriptions that can't be filled due to financial hardship. We also offer clothing vouchers every six months, furniture assistance every five years, and housewares and linens through our stores every six months. Additionally, we support those experiencing homelessness with goods storage at Vinny's Locker, and we help families in need with energy assistance and portable cribs for infants. Our goal is to ensure that everyone has access to the basic necessities they deserve.
