At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Merrill, WI, we are dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our program empowers Fellows through a comprehensive, tuition-free training experience that combines organic food system education with hands-on learning at our Allegheny Farm Campus. Over the course of six months, participants engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, implementing innovative community health initiatives, maintaining gardens, and promoting food literacy in educational settings. After their fellowship, graduates embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with local non-profits to further enhance food access and strengthen community initiatives. Our mission is to develop a resilient food network that prioritizes social equity, environmental stewardship, and economic viability, making healthy food accessible for all in the region.
