Through comprehensive, tuition-free training at the Allegheny Farm, this fellowship provides hands-on education in organic food systems, enabling fellows to engage in diverse initiatives such as growing and distributing crops, leading health-related educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and fostering food and ecological literacy in schools. Over the course of a transformative six-month residential program, followed by a Community Action Year, fellows will collaborate with local non-profits to enhance access to healthy foods and strengthen community food systems. Applications are accepted until March for the fellowship experience that runs from May to October.
