About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Watertown, WI, we are dedicated to sponsoring and empowering individuals to become passionate advocates for a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. Through our enriching program, Fellows receive comprehensive organic food system education without any tuition fees, promoting accessibility for all. Participants engage in hands-on, experiential learning at Allegheny Farm, learning to grow and distribute diverse crops on a market-style farm, develop school and community gardens, and spearhead initiatives that promote food and ecological literacy. Our Fellows also support local food access through farmers markets and community coalitions, and they take on leadership roles to mentor future cohorts. Each Fellow embarks on a transformative six-month residency followed by a Community Action Year, where they implement their training by collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to create impactful change. Applications are accepted until March for the program running from May to October each year.
