The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Whitewater, WI, inspires and empowers individuals to become effective advocates and educators for a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. Through our unique program, selected Fellows participate in a transformative six-month immersive experience at Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, followed by a Community Action Year that allows them to apply their newly acquired skills in collaboration with local non-profits. Our curriculum includes hands-on training in organic food systems, community gardening, and food literacy, equipping Fellows to implement essential programs that increase access to nutritious food, support farmers' markets, and promote ecological sustainability. We prioritize accessibility, offering the Fellowship without tuition costs, so that passionate individuals can engage in meaningful work that strengthens their communities and fosters a healthier food system for all. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
