About Women, Infants & Children (WIC)
Located in Whitewater, WI, the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program, under the Division of Public Health, is dedicated to nurturing the health and wellness of pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to age five who meet specific income and nutritional criteria. Our mission is to provide essential food assistance, comprehensive nutrition education, and vital breastfeeding support while also connecting families to healthcare services. Families may qualify if they participate in programs such as FoodShare, Medicaid, BadgerCare Plus, Wisconsin Works Program (W2), Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), or the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR). We welcome caregivers to enroll their eligible children, ensuring that every child and mother receives the support they need for a healthy start.
