About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food systems. Through hands-on training and empowering education, we equip our Fellows to advocate for food systems that embody social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers comprehensive organic food system education without tuition barriers, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring advocates. During the six-month immersive experience at our farm campus, Fellows engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, implementing innovative health educational sessions, and integrating food literacy into community initiatives. Following this, they undertake a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to enhance regional food access, support farmers' markets, and nurture community gardens. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience taking place from May to October, fostering a future where healthy, equitable food systems thrive.
