Located in Barboursville, WV, Wisewoman is dedicated to empowering low-income and uninsured women aged 40 to 64 by providing essential resources and education to improve their health and well-being. Our program focuses on preventing, delaying, and managing cardiovascular and chronic diseases through comprehensive assessments that include measurements of height, weight, and blood pressure, as well as lab tests for cholesterol and glucose levels. We not only offer follow-up visits for those with elevated results but also assist participants in setting realistic health goals. With a commitment to fostering healthier lifestyle choices, Wisewoman provides education on topics such as nutrition, physical activity, and smoking cessation, while also connecting women to local resources for continued support.
