Located in Belle, WV, the Family Nutrition Program is dedicated to empowering limited-resource families, youth, and adults to enhance their health through comprehensive nutrition and physical activity initiatives. Our mission is to tackle critical health issues such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and hypertension by providing essential nutrition education and support. We utilize USDA’s MyPlate and Dietary Guidelines to teach healthy eating habits, facilitate engaging food demonstrations, and improve access to community resources. We also focus on helping participants maximize their food budgets, plan nutritious menus, and understand food labels, all while encouraging a more active lifestyle.
