About WISEWOMAN Program
The WISEWOMAN Program, part of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, is dedicated to empowering low-income, uninsured, or underinsured women aged 40 to 64 in Belle, WV, by providing essential resources to enhance their health and well-being. Our mission focuses on equipping women with the knowledge and skills necessary to improve dietary habits, increase physical activity, and adopt healthier lifestyle choices to prevent and manage cardiovascular and chronic diseases. Through our program, participants receive health education, personalized assessments including height, weight, and blood pressure measurements, lab tests for cholesterol and glucose levels, and follow-up visits if necessary.
