Wisewoman is dedicated to empowering low-income and uninsured women, aged 40 to 64, in Berkeley Springs, WV, to enhance their health and wellbeing. Our mission is to provide essential knowledge and support to prevent, manage, and control cardiovascular and other chronic diseases. Through comprehensive services including height, weight, and blood pressure measurements, cholesterol and glucose testing, and personalized follow-ups, we equip our participants with tools to set realistic health goals. Our educational programs promote healthier lifestyle choices, such as quitting smoking, improving nutrition, and increasing physical activity. We also connect women with local resources to facilitate their journey toward a healthier life, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive.
