Located in Bluefield, WV, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship at Allegheny Mountain Institute is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of food system advocates by providing transformative, tuition-free training in ethical and sustainable agriculture. Our program empowers Fellows through hands-on education in organic farming practices, enabling them to engage with community projects such as growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining school gardens, and promoting food literacy. Over the course of six months at our beautiful Allegheny Farm Campus, selected individuals will immerse themselves in experiential learning, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their skills with local non-profits. We believe in the importance of a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just, and strive to increase access to healthy foods throughout the region.
