Located in Bruceton Mills, WV, Wisewoman empowers low-income and uninsured women aged 40 to 64 by providing essential knowledge and skills aimed at improving their diet, physical activity, and overall lifestyle to prevent and manage cardiovascular and chronic diseases. Our comprehensive program includes health assessments such as height, weight, and blood pressure measurements, alongside laboratory tests for cholesterol and glucose levels. Women receive personalized follow-up care when needed, along with guidance on setting realistic health goals. Through educational resources, we support women in making healthier lifestyle choices, including smoking cessation, improved nutrition, and increased physical activity.
