Located in Charles Town, WV, the Family Nutrition Program (FNP) is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of limited-resource families and individuals through comprehensive nutrition and physical activity initiatives. Our mission is to combat the risk factors associated with obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and hypertension by delivering essential nutrition education. Through engaging activities such as food demonstrations, we empower participants with practical skills, including menu planning, food label reading, and strategies to stretch their food dollars. By promoting the USDA’s MyPlate guidelines and encouraging increased physical activity, FNP supports our community in making informed choices that lead to healthier lifestyles.
