The WISEWOMAN Program, operated by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, is dedicated to empowering low-income and uninsured women aged 40 to 64 in Culloden, WV, with the essential tools to enhance their health and well-being. Our mission is to provide comprehensive health education and support to prevent, delay, and manage cardiovascular and chronic diseases. Participants receive personalized services that include measurements of height, weight, and blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose testing, and follow-up visits if needed. We assist women in setting achievable health goals and offer guidance for making healthier lifestyle choices, such as improving diet, increasing physical activity, and quitting smoking. Additionally, we connect women to valuable community resources to help sustain their health transformations.
