Wisewoman proudly serves the Delbarton, WV community by empowering low-income and uninsured women aged 40 to 64 to take control of their health. Our mission is to equip women with the essential knowledge, skills, and resources needed to enhance their diet, physical activity, and overall lifestyle, effectively preventing and managing cardiovascular and other chronic diseases. Through our comprehensive program, participants receive vital services including height, weight, and blood pressure measurements, cholesterol and glucose testing, follow-up visits for elevated results, and personalized support in setting attainable health goals. We also provide education on making healthier choices, such as improving nutrition, increasing physical activity, and quitting smoking, along with referrals to local resources that ensure lasting lifestyle changes. Together, we create a supportive environment for women to thrive and achieve better health outcomes.
