Located in Falling Waters, WV, Wisewoman is dedicated to empowering low-income, uninsured, and underinsured women aged 40 to 64 by providing vital resources to enhance their health and well-being. Our mission focuses on educating women about the importance of a balanced diet, increased physical activity, and proactive lifestyle changes to prevent and manage cardiovascular and other chronic diseases. Our comprehensive program includes measurements of height, weight, and blood pressure, as well as laboratory tests for cholesterol and glucose levels. We offer supportive follow-up visits for those with elevated readings and work collaboratively with participants to set achievable health goals. Through practical education on nutrition, smoking cessation, and physical activity, we equip women with the tools they need to make informed health choices. Additionally, we connect participants with community resources that further assist in achieving healthier lifestyles, ensuring everyone has access to the support they need to thrive.
