The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Glenville, WV, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through hands-on training and immersive experiences at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows receive comprehensive organic food system education, allowing them to engage in impactful community projects. Participants collaborate with local partners to cultivate diverse crops, enhance educational initiatives, maintain school and community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy in various settings. The Fellowship also supports farmers markets and creates direct-to-consumer programs to increase access to healthy foods. With no tuition fees, AMI ensures that its Fellowship is accessible to all passionate individuals seeking to make a difference. Selected Fellows embark on a transformative six-month residency, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their knowledge in partnership with regional non-profit organizations. Applications are open until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
