The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship located in Kenova, WV, at the Allegheny Mountain Institute is dedicated to cultivating passionate advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our fellowship program provides comprehensive training to empower participants as they engage in hands-on learning and community initiatives. By offering organic food system education and fostering partnerships in the region, fellows gain invaluable experience in growing and distributing diverse crops, facilitating health-oriented educational sessions, and nurturing community gardens. With no tuition fees, we ensure that our program is accessible to all aspiring leaders. Selected fellows embark on a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, where they apply their skills in collaboration with regional non-profits, promoting food equity and ecological literacy through various community projects.
