The Family Nutrition Program in Kingwood, WV, is dedicated to empowering limited resource families, youth, and adults through innovative nutrition education and health promotion projects. Our mission is to combat risk factors linked to obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, and other chronic illnesses by fostering healthier lifestyle choices. Through engaging hands-on food demonstrations, we teach essential nutrition practices based on the USDA’s MyPlate and Dietary Guidelines, enhancing participants' skills in menu planning, food budgeting, and label reading.
