The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Lost Creek, WV, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become advocates for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Through our tuition-free program, we provide aspiring leaders with hands-on education in organic food systems, enabling them to grow and distribute diverse crops on a market-style farm and to implement innovative health care educational sessions. Our Fellows actively engage in maintaining community gardens, supporting farmers markets, and developing channels to increase access to healthy foods. Over a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, participants integrate food and ecological literacy into local schools and community activities while collaborating with regional non-profit organizations. We strongly believe in fostering leaders who contribute to a sustainable and equitable food future.
