The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Peterstown, WV, offered by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, is dedicated to nurturing future leaders who advocate for a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program provides comprehensive organic food system education, enabling selected Fellows to immerse themselves in a six-month, hands-on experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus. Here, they will learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education, and support community gardens and farmers markets. With no tuition fees, we ensure the Fellowship is accessible to all aspiring advocates. Following their training, Fellows will embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profits to apply their skills and continue their mission of enhancing food access and ecological literacy. We welcome all interested individuals to apply by March for a transformative experience running from May to October.
