Wisewoman is dedicated to empowering low-income, uninsured, and underinsured women aged 40 to 64 in Point Pleasant, WV, by providing essential education and resources aimed at preventing, managing, and controlling cardiovascular and other chronic diseases. Our comprehensive program includes health measurements such as height, weight, and blood pressure assessments, along with laboratory tests for cholesterol and glucose levels. When needed, we offer follow-up visits to address elevated health markers and work collaboratively with participants to set realistic health goals. Through our supportive education, women learn to make healthier lifestyle choices, such as improving their diet, increasing physical activity, and quitting smoking. Additionally, we connect individuals with vital community resources to further assist them in their health journeys, ensuring they receive the guidance and support they need to thrive.
