The WISEWOMAN Program, operated by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, is dedicated to empowering low-income, uninsured, and underinsured women aged 40 to 64 in Point Pleasant, WV. Our mission is to provide essential health education and resources to assist women in making informed lifestyle choices to prevent, manage, and control cardiovascular and other chronic diseases. We offer comprehensive services that include health screenings for height, weight, blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose, along with personalized follow-up consultations for those needing additional support. Through our program, participants will learn to set achievable health goals and receive guidance on quitting smoking, improving diet, and increasing physical activity. Additionally, we connect women with valuable community resources to enhance their journey toward better health and wellness.
