About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Located in the heart of Ranson, WV, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, offered by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, seeks to cultivate the next generation of leaders dedicated to building a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative program provides an extensive six-month training experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where selected Fellows engage in hands-on organic food system education. By participating in initiatives such as growing diverse crops, supporting community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools, Fellows not only expand their own knowledge but also foster community resilience and access to healthy food. The Fellowship is committed to accessibility, with no tuition fees, encouraging passionate individuals to apply by March for the opportunity to make a meaningful impact from May through October. Together, we are nurturing a sustainable future for our food systems and communities.
