MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Ronceverte, WV, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through personalized weight management and health promotion strategies. This comprehensive program annually screens every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities for obesity and connects them to tailored weight management services that align with their individual needs and preferences. Participants can engage in a variety of options including group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE!, which offers in-home messaging and clinician contact. For those who prefer a self-directed approach, the MOVE! Coach mobile app is also available. Additionally, we provide access to weight loss medications and, when necessary, bariatric surgery for Veterans who have not achieved their goals through other methods.
