The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Salem, WV, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates and educators committed to creating a just food system. Through comprehensive training at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, our Fellows engage in hands-on, experiential learning focused on organic farming, food justice, and ecological literacy. This no-cost program ensures accessibility for all participants, empowering them to grow and distribute diverse crops, lead community gardens, and implement educational initiatives that promote health and wellness. Throughout their six-month fellowship and subsequent Community Action Year, selected Fellows collaborate with local non-profits to enhance food access, support farmers' markets, and foster community engagement.
