Energy Express is dedicated to uplifting children in Scott Depot, WV, and surrounding rural areas by offering a unique 6-week summer reading and nutrition program tailored for low-income communities. Our mission is to prevent summer learning loss by engaging children with creative and interactive activities that promote reading, vocabulary, and artistic expression. In addition to developing essential literacy skills, each participant enjoys two nutritious meals daily, ensuring that their health and well-being are prioritized during these crucial months.
