Energy Express is dedicated to enhancing the lives of children in West Virginia’s rural and low-income communities through a comprehensive 6-week summer reading and nutrition program in Shepherdstown. We strive to tackle educational gaps by keeping kids engaged in reading during the summer months with dynamic activities that include art, drama, and vocabulary enrichment. Our program ensures that participants receive not only a stimulating learning environment but also two nutritious meals each day, promoting both mental and physical well-being.
