Located in Terra Alta, WV, Wisewoman is dedicated to empowering low-income and under-insured women aged 40 to 64 by providing vital knowledge, skills, and resources to enhance their health and well-being. Our program focuses on preventing, delaying, and managing cardiovascular and other chronic diseases through personalized assessments, including height, weight, and blood pressure measurements, along with cholesterol and glucose testing. We are committed to guiding participants in setting achievable health goals, while offering education on healthier lifestyle choices such as smoking cessation, improved nutrition, and increased physical activity. Additionally, Wisewoman connects women to local community resources that further support their journey toward a healthier life.
