The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Vienna, WV, offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to become champions of a fair, sustainable food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this program provides comprehensive training and hands-on experience in organic food practices, empowering Fellows to lead educational initiatives that promote food and ecological literacy. Over the course of six months on our scenic Allegheny Farm Campus, participants will engage in various projects, including growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health education sessions, and enhancing community gardens. After this immersive training, Fellows will enter a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to further deepen their impact. Our commitment to accessibility means that we do not charge tuition for this transformative experience, supporting those dedicated to fostering healthier communities through improved food access, sustainable farming, and directed food assistance efforts.
