The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Wayne, WV, is dedicated to cultivating a just and sustainable food system through hands-on training and education. This fellowship empowers individuals to serve as advocates and educators, promoting practices that are socially responsible, environmentally friendly, and economically viable. We offer a tuition-free, six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where selected Fellows engage in organic food system education, support community food initiatives, and work collaboratively with non-profits to enhance food access. Our program encourages practical applications, such as growing and distributing diversified crops, managing community gardens, and facilitating innovative health education sessions. By fostering food and ecological literacy, we aim to create meaningful connections between local food practices and community well-being, with an ultimate goal of mentoring the next generation of food system leaders. Applications are welcomed until March each year, with the fellowship experience spanning from May to October.
