The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Weirton, WV, empowers individuals to become advocates for an equitable food system through hands-on training and education at the Allegheny Farm. Our program nurtures passionate Fellows who are committed to a food system that is environmentally sustainable, socially responsible, and economically viable. We provide essential education on organic farming practices, helping participants grow and distribute a diverse array of crops, support local farmers markets, and create community gardens. Our Fellowship experience includes six months of immersive learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where Fellows implement their skills in collaboration with local non-profits. Applying by March opens doors to a transformative journey in sustainable food practices from May to October, fostering food literacy and improving access to healthy foods in the region.
