At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Wellsburg, WV, we are dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders in sustainable food practices. Our program empowers Fellows through comprehensive training in organic food systems, emphasizing social, environmental, and economic justice. By providing tuition-free education, we ensure accessibility for all aspiring advocates. Throughout the six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, participants engage in hands-on learning and community-focused initiatives, such as growing diverse crops, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools. Following this, the Community Action Year allows Fellows to partner with local non-profits, applying their knowledge to support farmers markets, develop distribution channels for healthy food access, and contribute to community food coalitions. We invite passionate individuals to apply by March for a transformative journey that runs from May to October each year, reinforcing our commitment to a just and equitable food system.
