About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Williamstown, WV, empowers individuals to be advocates for a just food system through hands-on training and education at the Allegheny Mountain Institute's farm. Our Fellowship is designed to cultivate leaders who are passionate about social, environmental, and economic justice in food production. We remove financial barriers by offering this program at no tuition cost, promoting accessibility for all aspiring Fellows. Throughout the six-month experiential journey at our Allegheny Farm Campus, participants engage in organic food system education, learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, lead community gardens, and enhance food literacy in local schools. Fellows also play a crucial role in supporting farmers markets and developing channels to ensure broader access to healthy foods while collaborating with various non-profit organizations during their Community Action Year. We welcome applications until March each year for an enriching experience from May to October, aimed at transforming the food landscape in our communities.
