Benefits of Sharing

Creator: @ASilentObserver

Sharing is proven to improve personal well-being. Here are a few reasons why you may consider sharing.

1. Sharing feels good. By cleaning, organizing, decluttering the room, it makes the room more spacious and good. The same is true with sharing. It allows you to release some of the thoughts and feelings that were taking the space of your mind and constantly worrying and overwhelming you. It makes you feel good.

2. Sharing makes you grateful. There are too many thoughts, emotions, experiences that keep your mind occupied and distracted. In the process, you focused more on what you don’t have rather than what you probably have. But when you share and open up, you let those distractions go away and give you moments to reflect upon what all you may have and count your blessings even if they are tiniest ones. The more you share, the more grateful you feel.

3. Sharing increases trust. Sharing isn’t easy because it is a matter of opening up about yourself. But it could be discomforting if you know the person is not reliable or judgy about anything and everything. But when you are able to share with anyone, it allows you to trust them, feel comfortable to be vulnerable around them and share whatever is going on in your mind.

4. Sharing makes life real. When you keep things to yourself, you bottle them up and as a result, it makes you feel disconnected and live in your mind. But when you share, it allows you to feel alive and connected. It allows you to celebrate your accomplishments as well as talk through tough decisions and believe in yourself and good.

5. Sharing makes you feel not alone. When you share and others share, you realize the fact that you are not alone who is suffering. Others have similar experiences in their lives. It makes you feel less alone and gives you hope and courage to go through the rough phase and believe in yourself that things will be better at the end of the day. Because you are not alone.

So, when you share, you are contributing to create a better community and world.
