Day 3: Psalm 5 - Laying Your Requests Before God

Take a moment to close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Then open your eyes and slowly read and pray today's psalm in the image above.
The psalmist asks God to listen to his words and consider his lament (1-2). Each morning he lays his requests before God and waits expectantly (3).
Evil cannot dwell with God (4-6), but God welcomes us into his presence through his great love (7-8). If there are people in your life who cannot be trusted and are full of deceit (9), ask God to deliver you and bring you close to him (10).
Thank God for being your refuge and protection, then conclude your time by praying through the entire psalm.
