Day 9: Psalm 77 - Remembering in the Night

Take a moment to close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Then open your eyes and slowly read and pray today's psalm in the image above.
The psalmist's troubles keep him awake at night (2-4). He is too troubled to speak, and he begins asking painful questions: Will the Lord reject forever? Has his unfailing love vanished? Has God forgotten to be merciful (7-9)? Talk to God about any of these questions you are carrying.
Then the psalmist makes a choice to remember (10-12). He recalls how God led Israel out of Egypt and through the sea, even though God's footprints were not seen (13-20).
Thank God for the times he has acted in your life and in the lives of others. Conclude your time by praying through the entire psalm.
