Hey new mama! First of all, congrats! Your kiddo is a handful now, but you're going to get to watch them grow into their own unique human being and it's going to be amazing. But let's get back to the present. Right now, you are probably overwhelmed, stressed, feeling like you have no idea what to do and you don't want to screw up your baby for life. Deep breath. Every single one of us who is alive right now were babies once, and our mothers made it through this. You will too. You know how sometimes people will offer congratulations on your new baby and say "Let me know if you need anything"? Now is the time to let them know you need something. People generally want to help, but they don't know what they can do that would be helpful. Hit these people up. Ask them if they can come over and babysit for a few hours while you take some personal time. It's OKAY. "You can't pour from an empty cup", and your cup is running really low. Your kid *needs* you to take a break and rest. It's not a frivolous request or some kind of luxury you don't deserve. It's a basic human need that has to be fulfilled. Self care, self care, self care, and in just a few months, you are going to be amazed at how much your baby can do and they will grow more and more independent sooner than you know. Wishing you the absolute best of luck. You got this, lady!
